With the growth of traditional archery this winter, we will host an outdoor traditional NFAA Field tournament. This shoot will feature a 1/2 round of the NFAA field archery tournament format. 14 targets, 4 arrows per target, from the black markers, max of 30 yards. (two practice targets to start) This format for traditional archers has been a fun and relaxed round of archery, combined with a 3/4 mile walk through the LGRSC property.
Entry fee will be $10, with a 50% payback. ($5.00 to the club, $5.00 to payout to the top 3 finishers) Rules will be any recurve, or longbow. No sights, and no clickers. (NFAA traditional, or barebow recurve rules)
Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration.
Shotgun start at 2:00 pm, listen for air horn.
Archers will be assigned targets, and you may request buddy groups. Groups of 3 or 4 shooters.
NFAA barebow recurve rules will apply. traditional set-ups welcome as well. Everyone will be in one class.
NFAA field target will be used, with standard field target scoring.
4 arrows per target. First two targets will be for practice, we will start scoring on the third target.
Top 3 archers will be awarded payoff. 50% will be split at 25% for the winner, 15% for 2nd, and 10% for 3rd.
We will only shoot if we have a favorable weather forecast. If the forecast looks poor two days prior, we will cancel the event.
This event was created for a fun, and relaxing round. The black markers has been a favorite of recurve shooters at LGRSC the last couple years, so we are going to open a round to the public.
