Exciting News for the Archery Program

Attention LGRSC archers. We have some great news for the 2025 shooting season.

First, we are hosting two leagues this winter starting Sunday, January 5th, we will have a traditional animal target league. This will be 12 weeks of 60 arrow rounds shooting the NFAA animal targets from distances of 10 to 20 yards. Start times will be 6:00 pm, cost will be $5 per week, or $50 if paid in full by week #2 for all 12 weeks.

Mondays, starting Jan 6th will be the 3D league. 30 3D targets with distances out to 25 yards. Open to compound, or traditional archery equipment. Start shooting anytime between 6:00 and 7:30 pm. $10 per week, or $100 for all 12 weeks if paid in full by week #2.

The archery program has been approved funds for upgrades. We will be getting a couple new targets, and replacing all of the cores to IBO scoring. This will allow for more simplified league scoring, and will also allow us to host an IAA event in 2025. We plan to rebuild the practice range, so please be patient as we do that this fall. Work has already begun, so a couple targets may be missing as we rebuild the stands, and the bags. The field course will also receive some TLC before leagues start next spring. The 3d course will continue to see improvements, especially the weekly league course.

Plans for the 2025 summer will include a Tuesday night 3d league, Thursday night field and hunter league, the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Jamboree, and hopefully an Independant Archers Association 3d event.
